Today we had the other of our June pack activities (the first being Twilight Camp last week). Taking from one of last summer’s monthly themes ( “Hoop-de-do” ), we decided to do another games day and add the ice cream element. Planning it for a Sunday made the title too easy The summer weather keeping with the…
Our boys decided that they wanted to take on the Scientist activity badge over the summer this year. As busy as the boys have been this past year, they have five activity badges left to earn. I suggested to them that the summer would be a great chance to work on Family Member at home…
As I posted yesterday, our district’s Twilight Camp got under way. While things were a little slow kicking off (as is always the case on camp Mondays), the boys seemed to enjoy themselves. While all of the boys were tired by the end of the night, everyone was looking forward to the rest of the…
Well, today is the first day of Twilight camp for our district. This will be the fourth (and last) time around for our oldest (the now second year Webelos scout) and the first time for our youngest (the Tiger Cub).
The other day, @MNScoutmaster asked in a post if your scout unit meets during the summer or not as compared to Cub Scout Packs. The consensus on Twitter was that units of those providing a reply do meet year round.
Today I: Began the long trip home after the cruise Continued reading scouting books Today we pulled into port early in the morning. Based on the fact that our flight back home was not until around 6pm, we were in no hurry to get off the ship.

Today I: Discussed the training cancellation situation with our DE. Apparently now the training chair is out-of-town and can’t work with the other district to get our folks trained nor call those signed up to offer up the other district’s training…frustrating.
Today I: Continued recovering from the “goo” Started reconciling the pack’s bank account and tabulating the next deposit Looked over the Tiger requirements for our youngest son. There may be some significant changes coming for him and school that directly impacts him and Cub Scouts Read up on more 100 Days of Scouting and other…
Today I: Emailed the parents of the top two Pinewood Derby racers from each rank to get their confirmation their boys would be able to attend the District race later in March. Heard back from three of them. Updated the blog’s theme and added another 100 Days of Scouting blog ( A Day in the Life……
