Reflection

Adventures and Accidents ·

One of the things I've been trying to do to improve our Venturing activities is to close with a reflection. This is something that was mentioned in Brad Harris' book Trails to Testimony as a way to find spiritual lessons in our activities.

Are there other Scouting organizations like the "Order of the Arrow?"

HalfEagle Answers ·

Not all Boy Scouts catch on to the OA. Are there other organizations within Scouting for older Scouts to be a part of? I'm not looking for a distinct program like Venturing for them to transition into, but an organization that still fits within Boy Scouts.

How should Boy Scouts be split into patrols? Why?

HalfEagle Answers ·

I've read about the idea of "New Scout" patrols, "Regular" patrols, and even "Venture" patrols within a troop. What's the right organizational method?
